This was our first time in Asia, almost by accident, and also our first vacation completely do-it-yourself. It was just a nice trip, which allowed us to visit Kuala Lumpur, a large, multi-ethnic Asian city, where shopping at competitive prices and see aspects of different cultures, such as the Malay, Chinese and Indian (to clearly see the Petronas Then the Bukit Bintang with its mega malls, China Town, the Batu Caves, Merdeka Square), and enjoy a wonderful sea in the small paradise of Perhentian, to swim among the corals, sharks and turtles, eat fresh fish on the beach, alamanda cinema hiking in the jungle and relax in tranquil beaches, some of which are virtually deserted. Malaysia is a safe country to get around safely independently organized with regard to transport and tourist services. English is very widespread and very low costs, as regards both the properties that for the food! We got a good deal at the Emirates on intercontinental flight alamanda cinema (870 per person, booked two months earlier), with a stopover in Dubai both outward and return. To get to Kota Bharu we flew with Malaysia Airlines, great company (115 euro per person, you can greatly reduce expense by flying with low cost airline AirAsia, which by the way is the best low cost airline in the world, we, having read in several travel stories alamanda cinema complaints related to delays and cancellations of flights of this company, we decided to play it safe by booking with Malaysia Airlines, but all the people we met during our trip, who had flown with AirAsia, there have spoken very well in terms of punctuality, saying he had not had any kind of problem; the only thing to keep in mind, if a connecting flight to Kuala Lumpur, is that AirAsia flights depart from a different terminal , distant about thirty minutes from the main airport). In Kuala Lumpur we stayed at Equatorial, a 5-star hotel, 10 minutes walk from the Petronas (about 20 per person per night, without breakfast, booked on booking.com). To find accommodation on Perhentian we struggled a lot, sent e-mail to all the hotels, the majority of whom who responded with a "fully alamanda cinema booked" (as the places on the island alamanda cinema are limited, it is recommended especially alamanda cinema if you plan going there in August, book well in advance). alamanda cinema So, we have clearly stopped without thinking too much the first hotel we were given the availability, the Cozy Chalet for the first 4 nights and the Perhentian Island Resort for the last 3. The Cozy Chalet (about 20 per night per person, including breakfast , booked through the hotel website), recently opened, is made up of wooden houses, basic but spacious, built uphill, close to the hill, and connected by stairways; our room was the highest of all, virtually in the jungle (every night we had to hurry to get to avoid an invasion of insects and mosquitoes!); with suitcases was a grind to get there, but from the terrace we had a pretty sight. alamanda cinema The Perhentian Island Resort or RIP (about 38 euro per night per person, including breakfast, booked through the hotel website) is the only resort on the island which is as close to an international village; This makes it much less distinctive, but the highlight is located on the most beautiful beach on the island. Looks very nice on the outside, while the rooms are quite antiquated. But we had the Deluxe room, right on the beach! Finally, since we had to return 11 hours of direct alamanda cinema flights to Dubai, we decided to stay overnight at the Lotus Hotel, a good 4 star centrally in Deira, 4 km from the airport (about 20 per night per person, with breakfast alamanda cinema and transfers from / to the airport included, booked on booking.com), so that we can sit and have a brief glimpse of the city.

Congratulations for the trip and for the photos (really nice). Only one comment: Air Asia is not actually part of a "terminal different" but from another airport. Malaysia Airline part from the international KL, where you can then take also convenient connections to return,
